The Point System is based on the number of dogs defeated & the number of dogs shown as reported on the Official ACHA Bench Show Report.
- The Winner of the Best Male of Show will be awarded one point for all males defeated in the classes. Example: (3) TW (1) Red (2) Eng = BMOS 5pts.
- The Winner of the Best Female of Show will be awarded one point for all Females defeated in the classes. Example: (3) TW (1) Red (2) Eng = BFOS 5pts.
- The Winner of the Champion Male & Champion Female Class will be awarded 3 points for all dogs defeated in the Class. Example: 4 total entries = 9 pts.
- The Winner of the Grand Champion Male & Grand Champion Female Class will be awarded 4 points for all dogs defeated in the Class. Example: 3 total entries = 8 pts
- The Winner of the Superior Grand Male & Superior Grand Female Class will be awarded 4 points for all dogs defeated in the Class.Example: 3 total entries = 8 pts
- Two (2) Points will be awarded for dogs shown without competition in Grand Champion or Superior Grand Class only.
The reason for increasing the number of points earned per category is to equalize the points earned over a year. The points carry from Category to Category as the dog progresses in its Titles.
Example: If your dog was a Show champion at the beginning of the State Race Year (June 1) and finishes to a Grand Show Champion before year’s end (May 31) those points would carry on with the dog as it competes in the Grand Champion Class.
